Washburn will be 100 years old and we are planning to celebrate August 1-3, 2025 open. Here are the plans so far: Washburn High School 100 year celebration (1925-2025) on August 1 and 2, 2025.
Here is a tentative schedule:
Friday, August 1, 2025
- 1:00 pm Miller Open Golf Tournament at Theodore Wirth Golf Course
- 4:00-6:30 pm School Tours at Washburn (newly refurbished auditorium 2015, new weight room and locker rooms 2016, and new biology classrooms 2018), view 100 years of Washburn exhibits in the small gym, food on the mall
- 7:00pm Welcome & Program in the Washburn auditorium by Principal Emily Palmer, review the history of Washburn, performances by current students, re-dedication of the school
- Event is open to all, but Tickets to guarantee a seat will be sold through the Foundation website
